John Andrews Memorial 5K @ Maine Molecular at Mill Brook Industrial Park Register
Jun 1 @ 10:00 am

This 7th annual event honors John Andrews, Eastern Trail founder, mentor and friend. John’s vision to create the Eastern Trail started in the early 1990s. He was persistent, but patient, and made tremendous progress in a relatively short amount of time. After starting this amazing effort, John lived on the trail, used the trail, and guided countless others to understand and appreciate this great resource. Sadly, John passed away in February 2017.

Proceeds from this event benefit the Eastern Trail Alliance (ETA), an organization dedicated to building a 65-mile off road transportation and recreation greenway from Kittery to South Portland, Maine and will go directly to support the ETA’s trail development campaigns. With 22 miles currently off road, our goal is to raise awareness and funds to continue John’s vision of filling in the gaps and adding more miles to the off-road trail sections.

Farm to Farm Ultra Run @ Wolfe's Neck Farm Register
Sep 29 all-day
841596846

The Farm To Farm Ultra Run consists of a 25K, 50K, 50 Mile and relay options, organized in partnership with the Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust and Wolfe’s Neck Farm.

Farm to Farm is a “green-minded” event with a charitable purpose to support conservation and locally-grown food in Maine. This event traces its roots to the Pennellville 50 (formerly MTC 50), which the Maine Track Club organized nearby in Brunswick for many, many years.

About the Race

Beautiful fall foliage (usually!), mostly rolling hills on paved roads, and about 2 miles of runnable trail per each 25k loop.

There are two manned aid stations, one at the start/finish (Wolfe’s Neck Farm) and one at Crystal Spring Farm. These manned aid stations are the relay exchanges for any relay runners. There is an unattended aid station near the entrance to BTLT’s Chase Reserve – about 5K from the start/finish area.

New for 2023, awards will be given to the top two overall male, female, and non-binary finishers in the 25K, 50K, and 50 Miler in the solo events. If there is an event that does not have enough entrants to fulfill all of the award slots, the extra pies will be available for sale with the proceeds being donated back to the race beneficiaries (Wolfes Neck Center & Brunswick-Topham Land Trust). Non-binary runners – once you’ve picked your gender, a division question will pop up – answers to the division question will be ignored.

There’s also a virtual option, with four distance choices: 12.5K, 25K, 50K and 50M. To register for one of the virtual distances, click here.

Course Marking notes

On the roads:
The road portion of the course (that’s from the start to Crystal Spring Farm) is marked with Eco Friendly paint and repurposed corrugated plastic signs with arrows. Runners will run into traffic as they would if out on a training run.

On the trails:
The trail portion of the course (that’s on the Crystal Spring Farm property) is marked with pin flags and extra signage with arrows on the lollipop loop to ensure runners do not get confused with this section.

Race Day Registration/Bib Pickup

Race day registration starts at 6 a.m., at Wolfe’s Neck Farm for all racers, including all relay team members. Please bring an ID. If you plan to register on race day be sure to allow yourself 30-45 minutes to register, use the bathroom, etc. prior to your race start time.

Do you have any friends or family that would like to volunteer? We would love to have them join us! Please send us a message thru FB!

New for 2023, only 50-mile racers may have a pacer – pacers are only allowed for the 3rd & final lap. Pacers will need to sign a waiver on race day. Pacers will need to sign the waiver & get their pacer bib when their runner picks up their bib.

New for 2023: Adaptive athletes and athletes with disabilities may have a guide with them for the entire race as needed. Guides will need to sign a waiver on race day. Due to the open roads and narrow trails/trails surface at Crystal Springs Farm, wheelchair/handcycle racers are not permitted. Guides will need to sign the waiver & get their guide bib when their runner picks up their bib.
